In Part 1, we will discuss why it is vital to have calm spaces to help our students find success at school. Participants will learn basic information regarding Adverse Childhood Experiences and the effects trauma can have on students' brains and behavior. Participants will also identify three to five key elements of what makes a calm space, whether it is designed for everyone or for a single student.
